Fasnacht Tuesday

On Tuesday there are small groups walking through Basel and playing (mostly drums and Piccolo) music.
Guggen (marching bands playing brass instruments, pipes and drums) were more present and had several concerts in the evening.
There was also a Parade for the children and exhibitions of requisites.
In the Pictures you can see the red-black Ueli costume as well as the white-blue- Blätzlibajass with the drum. The two hairy kids with the big nose wear Waggis costumes.
The golden-silver badge is a Blaggedde, which one wears to support Fasnacht, so it’s not depending on further sponsorship. Blaggedde are available in different price-ranges, starting with 10 Swiss francs.
As a recommendation if you want to visit Basler Fasnacht as a photographer:
If you want to take pictures on Morgestraich: Please switch off all helping lights of cameras as well as the flash. If you need to use screens: Please wait a long while or consider not taking the pictures. Nowadays there are many pictures on the web available. The light-free surrounding is an important part of the magic of this event.
