At 04:00 a.m. all lights are turned off, except for the laterns. The cliques start marching and play the famous Morgestraich with their drums and piccolo flutes.
Morgestraich is the beginning of Basler Fasnacht and for me it’s a very magic moment.
For visitors: please turn off your lights and screens. Don’t use flash or focus lights. There is plenty of time later to take some pictures/Videos.

Have a lovely day 🙂

From St. Gallen we drove via Altenrhein (building by Friedensreich Hundertwasser) along Bodensee to Rorschach, Romanshorn, Altnau to Arenenberg.
There we visited the Napoleon museum and its beautiful garden.
Bodensee has a lot of water at the moment. You can see the access path to the sun loungers was flooded.
Thank you so much for the great time and the wonderful memories 🙂

In St. Gallen we visited the Stiftsbezirk (Abbey Library, Vaulted Cellar and Exhibition Space), St. Gallen Cathedral and did a guided tour through the city.
There are so many stunning details to see and I really like the way the houses are built.

Last week we did a trip to Gaschurn (in Austria) and from there we hiked to “Wiegensee”. It was a wonderful time and the “Speckknödel” were really yummy. 🙂
Here are some impressions:

Here are some impressions of today’s tour through Zürich.
There are so many wonderful details of work that is made to last. I really appreciate those things. Nowadays so many products are of poor quality or have no use and are quickly disposed of.
Have a nice weekend everyone and take care of you and your surroundings.

Here are some impressions of Basel, which has so many lovely details:

There are some amazing doors in Basel. Here are some of them:

On Wednesday there was the Cortège again. These are just a few of the many amazing things we’ve seen:
