Yesterday I went to a walk through the nature, organized by Pro Natura. We looked at several plants and heard about which of them you can eat and what else they are good for.
We also got to try blackthorn-sirup and elderberries-vinegar as well as sorrel-sauce.
Lunchtime was spent in castle ruins and we got the pleasure to listen to some storytelling about ribwort.
Our group was pretty cool, full of open-minded, adorable, happy people.
So I can truly say a day in nature is one of the best medicines i know.

Slowly summer turns into fall and despite the rainy weather, I went out with my camera.
The days get shorter and I’m still recovering from a nasty bronchitis. But anyway it’s a great time and I’m realizing, how much I’ve settled down in those two years since I came back from Australia. Home feels like home and friends are real friends. What more does one need?

These four days were full of sunshine, great music and awesome people!
It was the 30. Gampel open-air-festival and there were some nice fireworks to celebrate it.
One of the main acts, die Toten Hosen, couldn’t come, because their singer has problems with his voice. However, there were plenty of other great bands!

They’ve said there was a blue moon on 31. July.

Do you know what a blue moon is?
There are two definitions of a blue moon, the first one is the old one and the second one was a mistake made by a hobby astronomer. His definition is so common these days, it’s called a second definition now.
first definition: A Blue Moon is the third full Moon in an astronomical season with 4 full Moons (versus the normal 3)
second definition: A Blue Moon is the second full Moon in a month with two full Moons.

This was such a wonderful sunny day with my best friend.
I hope you’ve had a nice weekend too and wish you a great new week.

This week was awesome! I hope yours was too!

I’ve learned how to ride a horse in a 5days course and even got a ribbon in the end! 🙂

I’ve learned how to jog and gallop, how to turn around or even ride backwards with the horse and we also rode a little Labyrinth. For that I’ve learned how to clean and saddle the horse with everything that belongs to it. But we had one lesson with bareback riding too. That was pretty cool.

It’s amazing to realize that a well trained horse reacts on weight shift or a fine touch with my lower leg. But there are also moments, when the horse doesn’t want to follow the instructions and I’ve learned the importance of being strict, otherwise the horse plays up all the time 😉

And of course there were lovely rides in the forest.

We’ve also had a little grill and made “Snake-bread” (see below). I haven’t had one of those in years!

Well I can honestly say that ACDC was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen!
Around 100’000 People were having a great time with those awesome musicians who indeed know how to get the visitors jumping and “singing” 🙂
And we were lucky and the really bad rain just started with the last song 🙂

But when I came home, my Garage was flooded and my car was taking a little bath in it. Pushing it out of the water with my amazing neighbours a little before midnight, I realized that I’m a really lucky person.

So I just wana say thanks to all my friends, family and the universe for having such caring people around me and for having a home, a job, food and for the gift to life in Switzerland, a beautiful Country where we have so many insurances to pay.. but when I needed them last week I was so glad to have them. (I should remember that the next time when I’m annoyed about their bills.. 😉 )

It’s just wonderful how an hour in this paradise gives me peace of mind.
People there seem to be so happy, relaxed and always open for a little chat about photography, frogs, flowers and just the beauty of life. I hope you can see it in your daily life too 🙂
